LGBTQ+ Collections and Communities
Join us for our next Elevenses about LGBTQ+ collections, communities, and inclusive practice within museums.
We will hear from York Museums Trust (specifically York Art Gallery) and The Peace Museum about two projects: Queering the Burton and Peace OUT. Join the session to hear about the work museums are doing from broadening stories of collections, acquiring new objects, and working with communities to enable greater inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community.
Insightful, interactive and informal, come along to gain new insights from our guests, meet colleagues from the region, and connect with the MDY team. Everyone who works and volunteers in museums in our region is most welcome, including museum freelancers who want to stay connected.
