Elevenses, Thursday 30 May, Practical First Steps with Digital Preservation
This online session explores some practical first steps to take with digital preservation – namely the creation of a digital asset register to form the basis for future activities and planning. It is led by Archives Consultant Simon Wilson.
Simon is leading Danum Digital: Getting Doncaster’s digital records on track a project funded by The National Archives Resilience Grant. As well as supporting colleagues in Doncaster a key element of the project is to engage with museum colleagues across Yorkshire. He will also give a flavour of how the project is progressing.
Insightful, interactive and informal, come along to gain new insights from our guests, meet colleagues from the region, and connect with the MDN team. Everyone who works and volunteers in museums is most welcome, including museum freelancers who want to stay connected.
