Elevenses – Thursday 20th October
Diversity: new support to introduce an apprenticeship to your museum
Join us to find about new support to help your museum introduce an apprenticeship to help diversify your team.
We’ll be talking to Melanie Shee from Creative & Cultural Skills and Tamsin Russell from the Museums Association about apprenticeships and diversity. Together we’ll discuss the need for diversity in museums, challenges to increasing diversity, and developments so far.
You’ll find out about a new series of online workshops running from November to March, which will support your museum to introduce apprenticeships as one way to start developing a more diverse workforce. Delivered by Creative & Cultural Skills, these online workshops are available to museums in the Museum Development North East, North West and Yorkshire regions. Join us to find out more.
Insightful, interactive and informal, come along to gain new insights from our guests, meet colleagues from the region, and connect with the MDY team. Everyone who works and volunteers in museums in our region is most welcome, including museum freelancers who want to stay connected.
