Arts Council England – Accreditation Review

Arts Council England (ACE) has now completed their Accreditation Review and have launched the new Accreditation Standard and returns timetable. The ACE Museum Accreditation scheme sets out nationally-agreed standards of good practice and enables museums to assess and develop their services.  It covers three broad areas of museum activity: organisational health; collections; and users and their experience.

 Accreditation Returns

Following the review, ACE has simplified the Standard and lengthened the returns timetable from 3 to 5 years. Invitations for completing your Museum Accreditation Return will be sent out six months before the submission deadline. Invitations will be sent out from November 2018 onwards. Museums currently holding a provisional award are not included in the list as they already have a deadline for a provisional review which overrides their return deadline, their return will be agreed with ACE.

The returns timetable for Yorkshire and Humber Accredited museums is downloadable here:  Accreditation Returns schedule.
